Rectangular Window
The rectangular window is the most commonly purchased window type. It can feature either vertically or horizontally oriented longer or shorter edges. A particularly popular option is the double-sash rectangular window, which allows ample natural light into the interior while taking up minimal space when opened inward.
According to building regulations, a minimum window-to-floor area ratio is required. This ratio-referred to as the daylight opening area-stipulates that the total window surface must be at least 10% of the floor area of the room. For precise standards, refer to the applicable local building codes.
Rectangular windows are a simple and cost-effective way to meet these requirements.
